Speaking from my experience interacting with police they always seem to carry their firearms on their right hip and tasers on their left. What if they switched and made it easier to draw the taser? Most people being right handed would still go to that hip. Could lead to fewer shootings.

Other places don’t have a number of guns comparable to the U.S. Most of these shootings have some kind of weapon or firearm described to police responding to a situation. That naturally increases the intensity of any situation and increases the likelihood of weapons being discharged.
