My work has on-site daycare and with my employee discount I could enroll my kid (if I had one) at a bargain price of $27k per year. I doubt I could afford to have more than one child and older people with their “it all works out” advice don’t have a clue what it costs to raise a kid in the 21st century.

My mother had to abort what would have been my baby sister for similar reasons. She had severely deformed internal organs, and a large cyst that destroyed most of her brain. Carrying her to term would have been unspeakably cruel for everyone involved. My parents’ dream of adding a sweet little girl alongside their

You literally just described the start of The Hunger Games.

If you watched the documentary you’d be a lot more informed about the reason she lost so much money. Maybe watch it?

I was thinking, as I read the tweets about this, where I was 10 years ago on this date...

Ugh, that was pretty humerus. +1.

none, just bone spurs

It’s just so damn obvious. You use the reward money to set up a trust fund for Jayme. She’s going to need extensive counseling and after that it can go towards a college fund.

My important takeaway from Average Anna was that her husband needed to contribute more around the house, and stop taking her for granted. Maybe if he would talk at the dinner table instead of playing with his phone, she wouldn’t be so likely to have an affair, I’m just saying.

at this point Americans have a hard time telling the difference because he’d probably be considered a centrist in the US at this point.

I don’t know if Gillette razors cut into hair better than other razors, but nothing cuts into a person better than the truth.

The ad is fine. I find it generally annoying when a product/company capitalizes on social movements, but this is fine.

Other ideas I can get behind:
- An ad featuring drag queens
- An ad featuring trans men/women and genderqueer folks: “The best anyone can get”

The responses are fucking insane. I can’t see how anyone finds it offensive to suggest it’s better that a grown man intervene when a school kid is being beat up by a gang of kids?

WHY WOULD YOU BRING THIS UP AGAIN?!!?????  ;__;

My body is ready.
