I freakin’ LOVE the torque and fuel economy these cars have. I was thinking about just keeping it and not having it fixed (I’m in a “no emissions requirement for diesel” state now) but moving to a different state is always a possibility so not getting it fixed isn’t really a smart choice.

Me too. I’ll be taking the buyback for my 2010 Jetta Sportwagon. But I’ll probably wait until 9/2018. It’ll be the same amount (less excessive mileage) so I may as well drive it until then.

Actually, VW has until May, 2018 to have a fix.
