God, I loved those adds. And the rathergood videos they were based on.

❤weebls... I still often refer to the “Kenya,” “Badgers,” and “Narwhals” videos.
Rathergood!
Holy heck.
I’m in the UK, so we never got the ads afaik, but snatches of “We Like the Moon” still occasionally echo around the house at odd moments.
I don’t think I ever knew these were used by Quiznos. We were all familiar with “We Like the Moon,” of course; I have a friend who’s been using the name “Dirigibles” online ever since because of that video.
I used to visit the site of Joel Veitch, rathergood. I liked his simple fun animations. Here is the one that started the spongemonkeys I think—before they sang about Quiznos, they were singing about the moon:
A videogame critic I follow, Noah Caldwell-Gervais, spent a while repairing an old Volkswagon hippie bus and started driving around the country making travelogues and reviewing games from the road. This is his first substantial travelogue and I’ve gone back and watched it probably 10 times, whenever I need some…
Was out of town for a few days on the Olympic Peninsula so mostly just a little DSXL gaming. Finished Turnabout Samurai in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Stopped by Pink Gorilla Games in Seattle and picked up my first Pokemon game Moon and a copy of Civilization Revolution made for the original DS that I never knew…
I get ya. I’ve very excited to hear thirdhand that there’s going to be a second part to Breath of the Wild (an exhale of the wild, if you will), but I haven’t put forth the minimal effort to watch the trailer because... well... all the things I would be excited about during the trailer, I can be excited about while…
So after a long week I’m diving back into Fire Pro Wrestling World, for no other reason than I may as well. (I was honestly burned out on pro wrestling as a whole for a bit what with WWE’s ongoing trash fire and NJPW having a good product but a TERRIBLE online service.)
My top ten E3 games of the show that I’m hyped about after seeing a lot of coverage:
Hello all! While this might make me a bad punk, I love E3, consumerist warts and all. And while this wasn’t a banner year as this console generation winds down, I was happy with a few things.
Finished VtM:B this week, and Blood & Truth. Both fun in their own way. Now I feel like my game schedule is slightly lightened for finishing two whole games lol.
Greetings, fellowship of the WAYPTW thread. For what feels like the billionth week in a row, but is probably only the fourth, I didn’t do much gaming. I am going to change that come Monday (with this weekend being Father’s Day, I have other plans with son_limey, namely Go-Karts, Laser Tag, and steaks on the grill).
This weekend, I’m finally going to check out Kids, the quasi-sequel to the 15-minute interactive animation Plug & Play. I’ve heard that Kids is very similar. I also intend to finish Yakuza Kiwami 2 - or at least get as close to finishing it as a I can.
I totally missed this Devolver bootleg thing so thanks for highlighting it - I’ll be picking it up today. You wouldn’t think they could live up to their conference last year but I’m glad they have.
Well.
Hey team,
I followed the news and watched the trailers but nothing really grabbed me except the trailer for Deathloop. Stylish design + Creators of Dishonored. Here’s hoping it can transcend its generic premise (there’s a manga with the exact same hook).
The one real disappointment was Marvel’s Avengers, mostly the character…
