Haha! Roadrunner down here in the TampaBay area scored me a QOS of 87%.

Sorry everyone, but I know two things windows can do that linux can't. (other than give a BSoD every time you touch anything)

@Onouris: at least you're a good enough people to have Notepad 2.

@morydd: I take it you've never used the sheepshank. Either that or you've never tied it correctly.

I would say a great way to make your powerpoint files smaller is to just not put huge images/other files into them in the first place. That way there's nothing huge to work with.

@Webs: And that is why you take powertools to it (such as a grinder) and turn it into a pile of metal filings. (unless it was a glass or ceramic disk, in which case it's powdered glass/ceramic now)

Well I don't know what Ampache is, but I know that I setup the Apache web server ages ago thanks to a lifehacker article on it, (which is how I made my way to this wonderful site of awesomeness) and it works just fine.

Hope nobody trusts the invisible setting in AIM too much. When you're invisible, people can still see your profile. When you're actually logged off, they can't.

Another great link. Thanks Adam!

I must say this is a pain, not because of having to download a large file, (took me all of 3 seconds) but because every time I update iTunes, I have to go back into QuickTime's settings and tell it to keep it's grubby little paws off my system tray.

Could you please put this back into Lifehacker when they get this working for the video iPods?

Wow... This is just awesome and a half!

I've been a loyal reader for quite some time now, and somehow ended up with an account already, but due to some error, it does not recognize my password anymore. :(

But I like studying in bed!

I do believe, that it would be much better to have time than money. I mean, for a lot of things you can buy nowadays, you could easily spend some extra time to do yourself.
