that’s the thing I actually am impressed by and will give DPD credit for - they didn’t just start shooting at protesters. They could have just shot into the crowd, but they didn’t. They seem to have realized it wasn’t coming from the protest.

Fuck the race of the attackers, this shit is just sad all around. Even if the attackers were Black, and purposefully killing cop, it won’t change my stand with BLM movement.

This attack is far too organized to be a protest gone outta of control or a random lash out at cops from frustrated individuals. It’s sad that people are pushing the protest narrative without any real facts to associate it with the protest.

This is awful for the families and friends of the officers but it also makes me incredibly fearful — even more fearful than usual — for the safety of PoC once the police force starts to enact vengeance.

I hope the shooter is a White Guy. I know that is terrible, but every time I hear of a shooting I hope the shooter is a white guy. I am sorry for the police and their families. Truly sorry. 😓

This is so infuriating. Although the incidence of cervical cancer is declining (in this country) because of better screening, the incidence of HPV-related oral cancers is skyrocketing. And, trust me, you do NOT want oral cancer. Please, please, please vaccinate your children!

Re: being a hairy person. I totally looked like I had a “bulge” in high school if I ever wore a swimsuit. I was so clueless. I did, however, shave the 2-3 inches of hair growing down either inner thigh. I wasn’t that clueless.

I’ve pretty much been clean shaving since I was a teen. it was never a porn thing... although, boyfriends liked it, it was more about keeping not itchy .... it just feels way better. Some of us are hairy people. :/

I think it’s sad that adolescent girls find hair unnatural and are shamed for it. I am PRO everyone caring for their hair as they see fit, without shame.

I wonder if they bothered asking women: 1) If your partner preferred you natural/un-groomed, would you do that? 2) If society etc. was on an ungroomed/natural ideal, would you still wax/shave? 3) What do you prefer of your partner if he is male?
