There are lots of things I love about Lynch's Dune, a few really really dumb things. (Voice boxes) but many of the performances were top notch from classic skilled actors. The Baron, Leto, Jessica, Thufir, Idaho, Stilgar, Gurney, Piter, Yueh, and sure I am forgetting some , were all astounding.

Speaking as a HUGE fan of the show and movie, that ship has sailed. Next year will be ten years after Serenity came out, people have moved on, they are all working, and they have gotten old, chubby, or crazy. Maybe more in the universe would fly... but if I were Joss, I would like to play around in a new verse...
