My argument that people aren’t taking the responsibility of driving as seriously as they should, comes into play in those scenarios. Likely, the person behind the wheel of the Suburban was either on the phone (texting or talking), or futzing with their kids in the back seat.

I agree. People need to become more invested in driving, because when they become more invested in something; they usually become better at it.

If it is a positive influence, I believe it would be very minimal.

Now playing

Because all the safety features blink and flash obnoxiously in your face all the time.

Not true 80% of the time. So long as you aren’t in a supercar, a Dodge Magnum or some other car that has truly ludicrous blind spots and so long as you adjust your mirrors properly (to be fair though, not many people know how to do that) and do the over-the-shoulder check; you would have no need for all those systems.

There are several reasons for this but the most prominent reasons all can be traced to human negligence, ignorance and incredible amounts of stupidity.

If you want some serious street cred, with AWD sure-footedness, Japanese reliability, a great turn of speed and a badge that’ll make every Jalop swoon, then I have just the car for you!

Actually looking to get an FB for myself in the immediate future. Test drove a rough-and-ready example from 1984 today, as a matter of fact. It’s a high-miler, with some dings around the body, but she’s mechanically perfect.

Actually looking to get myself one of these in the near future. Test drove an example from 1984 today, as a matter of fact. Bidding on the car when it comes up for auction on Friday.

I’m just saying it looks suspiciously identical to an Econoline’s wheel.

The totally-not-off-a-Ford-Econoline-van steering wheel, found in the earlier versions of the R53 Mini Cooper S.

When I first began elementary school; my daily walk to-and-from school passed my neighbor’s rust bucket of a Datsun 240Z.

I’m the happiest person ever right now. Ever since I drove a DS3 Racing in France a few year’s back; I’ve been dying to get Citroens over here.

I can’t believe I’ve not seen a post about Tumblr yet. Tumblr is just a website devoted to brewing shitstorms.

DS3 210, and Peugeot Sport 208 GTI- please Peugeot-Citroen, I beg of you.

Now if only someone would enforce indicator usage...

I’ll wait until I can get my BUMPER-TO-BUMPER, Unlimited-Mile warranty.

Both a heavily-turbocharged car, and any V12-powered car provide buckets full of theatrics, that’s for sure. I’ll take both. :D

Driving a heavily-turbocharged car quickly isn’t actually that big of a nightmare, and can actually be a whole hell of a lot of fun. A couple of years ago, I got the chance to drive a 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro, with an 70MM turbo bolted to it. It made 500 horsepower at the crank, so it was no slouch.
