1) Stop putting mystical stuff into Doctor Who. There is no “Planet Time” and “literal death” is not hunting Doom.

2) “I’m going to kill 23 people in addition to all the people before now so that I can ask the Doctor to save my life” sounds like a really mediocre plan. I’m guessing Doom hasn’t watched much NuWho.

I am ready for Bobby Ewing to show up in the shower and tell me that the sequel trilogy was just a bad dream. We can move forward now with a better story.

Nope, me too, but given that this is probably the last Shazam movie we’re getting, I’m not super invested in continuity from the first one or anything they might set up in this one. I just wanna hear stupid Shazam wisecracks for a couple of hours.

1. Avatar and Top Gun never had a chance to win the Oscar for Best Picture, and if you are a pop culture writer who legitimately thought they did, you need to do some serious consideration of how you approach your field. There was no glimmer of hope ever.

Just as long as we don’t see any ancient Jedi temples with magic powers that extend far beyond anything ever seen in regular Star Wars stories (Filoni’s most frustrating trope), I’ll be okay.

There was a series of Rogue Squadron novels in the mid- to late-90s that followed the titular squadron helping the New Republic wipe out the last vestiges of the Imperial Navy. They were quite a hoot. Would have loved to see a movie drawn from those stories. 

There’s such a weird amount of glee here at this news and I don’t get it. I hate what this site has become.
