This show is not “hilarious.” It’s almost funny. Almost good. And while watchable, with this cast and creator pedigree it should be loads better. Still giving it a chance, but it’s wearing out its welcome quickly.

Yeah, no offense to Gary Clark, but Lenny Kravitz would have been a better fit. Maybe he’s not on the same level as Ozzy, et al, but he gives off the “rock star” vibe better than Clark.

Bryan Cox = Judge Smalls (Ted Knight), not Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield).

Hey, I was pleasantly surprised by NuLeap too! I nearly wrote it off but there was quite a bit of goodwill/press towards the premier and I wanted to support an Asian lead Primetime series.

It probably won’t, by dint of how little impact this show has seemingly caused? Honestly I’m amazed it was renewed in the first place; sometimes these kind of show fly under the radar of those looking to be outraged. Maybe some Fox News apoplexy would help the show’s marketing: watch the show that caused Tucker…

I love Boxing Helena! I don’t think I’ve really seen any of his other movies, not even Warlock, not sure why, seems up my alley. He’s listed as being in Arachnophobia and Leaving Las Vegas, which I’ve seen, but it’s been so long I don’t recall his roles in those.

So, to be clear, the AV Club is anti-“nepo baby,” but throwing your weight around to try to get your unqualified wife hired as a producer is an act of “spousal solidarity.”

I imagine if she were even remotely qualified and performed the bare minimum during season 1, they would have had no issue allowing it. Sounds like that wasn’t the case.
