KOTOR introduced the term “Kath Crap”, said in the same manner as “Bull Shit”... and really, it has a pretty good mouthfeel, wouldn’t mind if more Star Wars properties used that term :D.

Oh that’s a load of rich, creamery poo-doo
They said the word “shit” in a Star Wars series. I am very conflicted about this.
I think one of the problems with Xplay currently is that it didn’t adopt the elements that made the original good in the first place. Their content right feels like it’s mainly people sitting on couches having discussions. It feels like a lot of other YouTube content, but with a large, expensive studio in the…
So it looks like we are finally going back into old Expanded Universe (EU).
Preposterous! Most of those things wouldn’t fit in there.
TRY NOT TO SELL ANY TAPES ON YOUR WAY ACROSS THE PARKING LOT
Ain’t that the truth. As soon as I saw the word “problematic” in the sub-heading I knew that’s what this review would be about. Not the episode, which the reviewer doesn’t seem to understand (her comments about the show being boring are testament to that), but just because a gay character died.
I think some of the “backlash against criticism about representation” is about the fact that it sometimes feels like it’s the only subject critics are interested in. This was, by far, the best episode of House of the Dragon. It managed to create a tension the show has been lacking, and ended with a scene where all the…
Mad about pronouns, every time.
It’s funny to think that Gawker (or whoever owned them at the time) thought Kinja was going to be adopted all over the internet and rival Disqus. They’ve literally never gotten it to work properly.
Cobra Kai is fulfilling the prophecy of Six Seasons and a Movie.
After watching the trailer for this- I have a STRONG feeling there is absolutely no other reason we are hearing about it other than this “controversy”. It looks like a *TERRIBLE* movie. The makers could not have been more lucky than to have it pulled.
If it WAS free on YouTube instead of a paying screening at TIFF, this would’ve been fine.
It’s worse than that, they found out “football” was called “soccer” in the UK and the majority of the English speaking world until the 1980s, but they changed it to give pedants something to post about on the Internet so they can feel snobby.
That photo exists in some liminal space between bad Halloween costume and that one episode of 30 Rock.
They finally discovered Soccer has been criminally impersonating Football for decades?
When you’re using a well-established character like that it seems like you’d work out those licensing issues before you released (hell, before you made) your film. But I guess this is a good way to drum up publicity and make yourself look like a downtrodden underdog.
Jersey Girl always felt to me like his one attempt at making an “real” movie that wasn’t entirely propped up by his worst impulses as a writer/director...and it failed so hard that he’s seemingly never bothered to put the effort in again. Which is a shame, both because I think the film is solid despite its flaws and…
Problem is watching this trailer has the opposite effect on me of seeing Hawke and Delpy or Rocky Balboa age naturally and logically with their characters. This just makes me sad because the whole idea of Clerks seemed to be that yeah they’re fucking around for now but would eventually figure it out.
