I dunno, I’m pretty liberal and I also think things were generally better before smartphones. Besides helping us expose cops and shame other racist idiots, while also giving us something to do while on the toilet, how exactly have they improved things?

the rich, suburban white kids who love to play dress up as “Woke.””

What, like collective PTSD from being called out for your selective and self-serving progressivism?

The 80s fashion game in this is on point. Too often, shit set in the 80s goes for some extreme version of fashion and appearance. Dani’s outfit in this episode is really a perfect encapsulation of casual 80s women’s fashion. (It also is a perfect example of why I’m always deeply opposed to resurrecting 80s fashions.)

I cannot say how much of a remake I want to see of this.

Ok I know where to start -

Yesss! I feel so vindicated. I can’t stand her paintings (though I think they do a great job).

Good Bones is fun, but Karen’s energy drives me insane... and they don’t do as good a job as Home Town does at featuring POCs and/or low-income people. I do admire their “anyone can be family” attitude, though, and the wacky family tree & dynamics that have resulted from that.

I appreciate the delicate touch with which this article is written. I’ll connect the dots that you invited the reader to connect: we should absolutely attribute to these people the tenets of faith which their church professes.

Chip always gives full credit to Joanna as the star—but in this version of the story, he’s the reason she’s a star, one who shines in the very gendered space of “Home and Garden Television.”

David Lee Roth is back in the band!

Don Ohlmeyer, what a quisling.

It might be if you’re talking about stuff that’s still a going concern. My go-to would always be the Eagles, but I feel like they don’t count anymore.

If there’s one thing hardcore leftists know inside and out, it’s how to best evaluate sketch comedy!

The Archer premiere was actually last week, this week is just one half hour show.

Here’s a really charming Barry Sonnenfeld story. Be warned- this is exceptionally gross:

I thought that she really needs a plastic charm necklace and some miniature garbage pail kids cards.

I thought the exact same thing about Jessica Walter but she’s at or past 80, so age might explain her voice (or possibly, the death of her husband).  It was hard not to notice.

I thought Aisha Tyler sounded worn out--not as a character, but as if her voice was genuinely different. Maybe I was imagining it, but she was the only one who didn’t sound completely like the same person. Still two solid outings for the show--I’m glad it’s back.

In the words of another great spy spoof, “Missed it by this much.” Nope. Not enuff fun.
