Yeah, I think this is the correct take. They got KJA to address DE in his trilogy, and that sort of really tied them together.

And now it’s all one continuity again, and frankly, I think that’s a mistake. I’d rather each type of media have it’s own continuity with the movies serving as the central axis.

I haven’t seen the Visit yet, so I can’t speak to that, but once i lowered my expectations i’ve enjoyed most of his movies that don’t involve evil plants.
