Her powers are never really explained, there are two times in the final episode where someone(Chloe & Max) say something along the lines of “I don’t know if this is magic or a sign or whatever but I got these powers so whatevs”, they just don’t explain the powers, the butterfly isn’t her powers, it’s just a symbol.
