Punishing a whole team over one artist is not what an objective critic does. I can bet every publication from IGN to Kotaku has had at least a few devs say some rude things about them on Twitter, and I can bet you not too many(especially the larger groups like IGN) choose to not review a game for that reason.

These developers Egos and paper-thin skin are slowly killing indie games in general and it needs to stop.
