Is Jalopnik no longer a car website? Is this why David and Torch left?

Logistics aside (e.g. getting day-to-day supplies in), why would you think a ban would have made a difference in this context?

Torch and Tracy are gone for less than a week and I’m already seriously considering removing this site from my feed reader :(

Ive heard alot of people say that, and ive resisted it... maybe due to the very good David Tracy articles... bit this... this is just next level...

On a CAR centric website?

What the fuck is this? Written by someone who has no concept of reality outside of NYC? On a CAR centric website?

I voted for Biden you dumbass. See, this is the problem, you’re too focused on politics that you can’t stay on topic, and that topic is that this is a car blog. It’s not about the side of politics she’s on.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You should have put a trigger warning before “Donked Ferraris”

Yeah, pointing out that this has nothing to do with cars on a car blog is really being a turd. The audacity!

I mean, I get that, but why is it here on Jalopnik? At least tell us about the bus, any weird quirks about it, maybe some crazy history about it, what it shares with a Ford Pinto, etc. I mean, this is a car blog right?

But, a bus!

I suspect Jalopnik will disable comments like Deadspin in time. It’s all downhill from here, it's pretty clear that the idea behind Jalopnik is dead, the name will just be sucked dry for shitty advertising until it folds.

I didn’t even mind the occasional political article., but now all we have left are that and hourly articles on Tesla. They have a clinical obsession with Elon.

100%

The death of Jalopnik has been confirmed. It can join Deadspin on the list of things that Were Once Good.

This is certainly worthy of news coverage somewhere. Jalopnik ain’t it. This is not even close to “car culture”...except, wheels are involved?

I’m liberal as fuck and probably align pretty well with you politically, Erin, but this is pure, unadulterated bullshit.  Not only did you mis-identify who’s running, there is absolutely zero automotive content here.  It’s nothing more than a hit piece, and I’d honestly love to see it - SOMEWHERE ELSE.

It still seems a bit hypocritical that “ruining” and “shitty” are right there in the lede while “Gizmodo has a ton of ad trackers, too” is in a dismissive parenthetical a few paragraphs down. Also, “too” implies an equivalency that simply doesn’t exist.

Safari is currently blocking 22 ad trackers and 13 ads on this page on Giz. By comparison it blocks 8 ad trackers and 3 ads on Wordle.
