EIDan, I can't agree on the swearing.  Have you ever been to Bay Ridge?  Seriously, that part of the movie was like a goddamn fucking documentary.

NO!  You do NOT badmouth Breakfast of Champions!  Not on my watch, mister!  Funniest work Nick Nolte or Bruce Willis ever did.

Yeah, for me the defining moment of the movie is "You're gonna make someone a lot of money, Sid."  They're two starry-eyed kids surrounded by fiction, unable to resist it.

Clearly, VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED is not a good movie.  But…  But even when Carpenter isn't very good, he shoots widescreen like nobody else, and VILLAGE is, in fact, a beautiful movie.  Every shot is just perfectly composed, even if Reeve is terribly miscast.
