I wonder how this compares to the built-in iphone setting and changing to native res. That's what I was doing previously to encode ipad videos.

@sandeepdeepak: Those things are a requirement. I've accidentally burned myself a few times holding a laptop... it heats up slowly then your red for a few days.
Laptops with non-mobile processors overheat by design. No amount of cleaning will help.
