The Citizen Police Review Board backed the officer’s account, based on the video reviewed.

I don’t think the Joey Porter case is an issue with the police department. Rather it felt like a case of the prosecutor exercising their ability to take a case to trial. Did that change come about after a conversation with Porter’s lawyer? Maybe, maybe not. It’s just the nature of the politics of law.

The kickoff out of bounds rule doesn’t bother me. It’s when some returner runs out of bounds, then lays out to catch the ball while part of his body is still out of bounds. The ref will throw the flag, the kicker will get hit with the penalty while the ball is still in the field of play.

Close that loophole.

I gave the justification for the value of the computer, you just didn’t like it. That’s not my concern.

The specifics of my workflows are none of your business, but I will say this: a combination of working on my local device (multiple, depending on where I’m at) and remote access to servers.

As for the idea of cloud computing, please excuse me for the next hour while I laugh that out of my system. The data ownership

I said my computer, it’s my personal equipment. And if you don’t think software costs count then you’re welcome to build yourself a computer, put zero software on it, and tell me how useful it is.

The value of my computer exceeds $3k, between parts and software. I use the computer for, among other things, supporting physicians at a major hospital system. I am literally assisting people in saving lives. Care to tell me that this is excessive?

I’m waiting to hear what the issue is with having $2m worth of jewelry.

What’s the point of sending a Jalop to the Chicago Auto Show? They get to meet me next week.

Agree to disagree with you on that one.

Walt Disney’s reputation has been marred over the years. He was accused of being racist, my personal opinion on the man was he was a product of his times (passive ignorance rather than active malice). Those who worked for him said he treated everybody the same, regardless of the color of their skin. He also championed

It’s easy:

My wife won a free bag of laundry service on our first cruise. When the staffer handed her the bag, he whispered: “Roll up your clothes before you put them in. You’ll be able to fit more.” Neither of us had heard this advice before (thanks random Norwegian Cruise Line dude!), when we found out how effective it was I

Patrick Kane was responsible for that one, and I’d have to say it was crazier than last night’s example. He shot the puck around the back of the net on the man advantage. It had a little too much on it, ended up taking a weird bounce off a side board, and slid down into the net. Everybody was so focused on the offense

Near the end of the 2nd Gig of Stand Alone Complex the Major admits that Motoko Kusanagi is a pseudonym, that she doesn’t know what her real name is anymore. Given that she’s able to dump any memory into an external storage device and recall it nearly at will, that’s a pretty telling detail about her origin.

Classic Mike Smith (no relation, thank God). Playing up the drama since at least the 2012 playoffs.

I wonder how valuable the brain would have been after being subjected to the effects of the gunshot? Not just the bullet ripping a path through the brain, but the shock wave propagating through the rest of the tissue?
