They bundle all that together on purpose - a lot of the features described don’t even need a server. I’ve used plenty of “word learning” algorithms that work locally and learn without dispatching any data to anyone - that bundle of data could in turn be synced over to your other accounts if you chose to do so.

Quick question: Does the XBOX ONE require the original 360 game disc to be present before it boots the game in question each and every time? Or do you just need it once and you can fire the game anytime you want w/o the disc being present in the drive?

as a small time dev. I stayed away from OUYA from day one. Others should have had the foresight to do so, as well. It doesn’t take a PhD to realize that their amateur approach and shady accounting would amount to this - it was perfectly foreseeable by those who understand how the industry works that OUYA was going…
