I am really sad this game should have been much more, Playing through the beta, just shown me how they stayed in the same pattern talk to someone ,quest collect thing, come back, other quest, talk to someone , kill thing, come back, talk to someone , kill thing again, come back again, talk to someone again and again.

Somehow I doubt "honest chance" is accurate, particularly in regards to 8.1. When I was first using it I was dreading all the things people were freaking out about... until I realized that almost all of those issues were really non-issues.

You can kill them. The Dead Rising games are based completely off the idea of killing zombies in any way that you can. And to be honest, nothing about this game really seems "generic" to me.
