Just wanted to say Doc, thanks for fighting the good fights. JRPGs *aren't* RPGs at all.

The 602 is absolutely AMAZING. Honestly, unless you play competitive FPS or Starcraft or whatever, a wireless mouse is so much easier, more comfortable, and less hassle than wired.

I completely agree. I interviewed someone who attempted it once. I would cross my legs, he'd do the same. I opened them wide, he'd do the same. I'd drink a sip of water, he'd do the same. It was absolutely bizarre. I think men especially are taught to do these weird power games (always sit with legs open, wide

Thanks for the great article, Patrick! I think that so often people get hung up on the idea that 'social engineering/hacking' is about weird psychological tricks or manipulating people or finding some bizarre loophole in the human psyche (because we'd all like to believe we had some power that other people don't) ,

I find all this "social engineering" stuff amusing, because a lot of people (especially on Reddit) who use it think they're being such evil, manipulative geniuses by doing it.

Peter Griffin definitely remains a highlight.

They're a lot better when they put some effort in to make them in the 'style' of the game being played. EA is always good at this actually- their logos always have a bit of flair that is game specific. ME3's intro logos went by pretty quick.

I mean what he said hardly sounds outside the bounds of current technology, even if you do have some idea of how the systems work.

Yeah he's making about $5m a year last I heard. It's good to be at the top.

Oh he was born rich? Hmm, I thought otherwise, but thanks for that.

Certainly not, and I don't consider Rowan Atkinson to be a horrible person for playing Mr Bean.

I can't hate him- he's a smart businessman, and has made millions of dollars off his mentally-challenged person act (whether that's ethical is probably another question). That's impressive.

I thought something funny in the trailer was that Drake moans and cries out when he touches every ledge JUST AS MUCH as Lara in Tomb Raider, yet while for her it was 'erotic' and 'disturbingly sexual' (I think someone even described it as 'torture porn'), no one seems to be up in arms about this.

I mean, beyond basic shelter, food and water, human beings don't "need" anything. So that's a bit of weird point.

Secondly, consent gained with this kind of power gap isn't really consent.

I imagine they've repurposed the terrain from the first two (if not three) games and turned it into an F2P grindathon. Still, would be interesting to have a look to see what they've done to it.

Yes, the headset isn't actually that heavy, but it crushes the skull in a weird way for me, even when I've adjusted it as much as possible (and I don't have a massively weird shaped head).

I suppose, but there are a lot of games that *don't* work well on the Rift.

This is one of the few games that has impressed me on the Oculus Rift. I can see it having a solid future in these, very specific, very niche games, even if I don't think it's revolutionary overall.

I think you'll find that within most of the major publishers, the (straight, white) males who run the show often sympathise with the anti 'social justice warrior' cause. I shan't name names, but lets just say whether you're talking about Bobby and co, the brothers Guillemot, or even some of the gentlemen running EA,
