I maintain that it just *isn't* a very good game. And if you want to be creative, playing around in Unity or Unreal is a lot more fun anyway.

I think it's quite clear that this is the reason for the PC delay, both initially and now for the remastered version. GTA sells a large chunk of its copies in poorer countries in South America, the Middle East, and Asia. PC piracy there is extremely high. Console piracy exists, but it is less common. There are…
I've quite enjoyed my time in Destiny so far, but it really does feel like 'World-of-Warcraft Lite', which is perhaps rather funny given that WoW was itself a simplified Everquest in many ways.
Everything with a levelling system seems to be an RPG these days. Basically soon it'll be 99% of games at this rate.
Jade Golem :P
I would probably cry tears of joy if they announced Jade Empire II.
I LOVE Chiclet keyboards. I hate both ordinary 'membrane' (?) keyboards and mechanical ones, but I love Chiclet keyboards. It's so much easier to type fast on them.
What happened on TAY recently. I occasionally post there.
Great article, Doc. I'm so happy Kotaku finally hired you :). Anyway, I think The Witcher 1 certainly had its charms, but it was very much a Euro-RPG in the same way as Gothic, Risen, Venetica, The Dark Eye etc,, which are all gems in their own right I think. I think for the sequel they adopted a lot of…
This is literally the most hipster thing I have ever come across.
Hey Doc, I've always wondered, do you get paid per article by Kotaku, or do you get money based on the views?
Some kinds of assault are more violent and painful than others. How is that hard to understand? Being stroked on the leg by an old man on the subway is probably not as bad as being gang-raped by 6 guys at 2 in the morning in some foreign country. Who could deny that?
Their pathetic brand image amongst a tiny minority of poll-using internet dwellers who make up a vanishingly small part of the total gaming market, yes.
I get so worried about everything all the time. The economy, my job, my parents, my family, my life, even general stuff like global warming or the automation of labour (seriously read The Second Machine Age) can drive me crazy with worry after a while. I am really trying to work on it, but it's so hard. I'll read…
All I would say is that men often have fear of rejection too :) But we move on, as should you. Who is more likely to be successful at dating- the person who stays in one place, trying to look nice, hoping that some random guy (or girl) meanders past and starts talking to them, or the person who goes out and talks to…
Someone earnign $100,000 a year is not 'working class'.
Yes. They were launching on the same day as Shadow of Mordor, too.
I mean this with the greatest respect- you say you want a guy to "approach you" and "take you on a date". Why not approach a guy, and ask him out on a date if you'd like?
Woodstock 99 was the defining moment of my youth. It was hell on earth.
Mike, do you get sent these chips or do you have to buy them like everyone else? Do snack companies have 'reviewer relations' or that side of PR like game companies?
