Seriously though, it's no a very demanding game. Even a non-gaming desktop or laptop (or Mac with Bootcamp) can run it quite well.

Subscribe. The F2P mode is horrific.

Subscribe (you download the game for free, then $15 for a month) and you can play the entire story never talking or interacting with anyone.

On the subject of 1313, I think that what Visceral showed with Dead Space 3 is that they are a highly competent maker of atmospheric shooters with good mechanics and interesting gameplay twists (flying in space in DS3 was majestic, and the weapons building system is great).

The Secret World is one of the most unique and interesting experiences to come out of the MMO genre in years. It may not be a permanent MMO home (which for me remains Bioware's Old Republic) but it's a thrilling ride.

Each to their own I suppose. I saw it as Sony's answer to Gears more than Halo- unbelievably grey and brown, a game that felt absolutely pointless in every way.
