Sure sure. I play on PC, have never owned a console except the 360 I bought to play Mass Effect 1 at launch. I'm simply arguing that the PS3/Xbox3 provide better value than the Wii U.

Sure. You either have power, new and interesting exclusives or an interesting gimmick.

No because PC has a significantly higher price to play games that look better. It is clear that were nintendo games on PS4/PC/Nextbox, they would be able to run at higher resolution, with more detailed graphics, at higher framerates, with better online integration.

Sorry I was just reading this article and I came across this comment. Funnily enough I had also been looking up Kotaku's 2010 Alpha Protocol review in which you described Obsidian as (and I quote you directly here)

I think there are three real possibilities:

Gettting fan mail means nothing. You should hear how much fan mail Chris Avellone gets for Alpha Protocol (tonnes) even though it's a buggy, graphically poor, problem-ridden game. It doesn't mean it's good. Dragon Age 2 was pretty mediocre and Bioware get a ridiculously amount of fanmail for it as well.

Because funnily enough, I mentioned that they have huge cash reserves in my OP. The Wii U and the DS were highly innovative consoles that sold very well.

I absolutely agree with the guy. The Wii U is the next Dreamcast- a doomed console.

Yeah just watched it. Too true.

Epic Mickey got a below-average 73 on metacritic, hardly 'very well received'.

Warren Spector hasn't made a good game in a decade. Why the heck is he so revered? He is a failure.

Well EA blackmailed Microsoft into letting them run their own servers and account system (other than xbl) on 360.

Alpha Protocol missed out on a sequel because it only sold like 600,000 copies. If it had sold 3m+ like Mass Effect 1 did, Sega would have begged Obsidian for a sequel.

Welcome to McShooter city!

Microsoft is going to push product placement so hard this fall it'll be ridiculous. Half this year's christmas period movies will feature someone playing an Xbox Next.

Exactly, why the heck should I have to deal with 20 hours of economy to Australia, where I then live in some kind of dingy, disgusting youth hostel and camp out in the bush? I'd rather stay at home.

Um no. I play on PC. I was saying that the fact that you can't buy 'used games' on PC hasn't made a difference to me.

Who gives a crap? This has been the case with PC games for over a decade and it hasn't made a difference. You can still get games cheap because multiple retailers sell them etc...

Somehow the EA haters will find a way to twist even this into a negative.

I'm calling it: 71% Metacritic average:
