In a follow up interview, whilst wiping tears from his eyes, Shannon was quoted as saying, “LeBron James is such an amazing person that even though he could drag any team to playoff glory, he chose not to this year so I could be here to make this speech.”

LOL at Chandler Parsons and “best of us”.

This....

When the Sonics left, i started rooting for the Blazers as I used to live in Portland. However, i never stopped hating the Thunder with all of my heart. This shot was the most cathartic sports moment i’ve ever had.

I talk English good.

Starred for “more deadlier”.

Parsons was the defender on that shot against the Rockets.

“I don’t always chuck up disrespectful 40 footers to win playoff series, but when I do, they go in”

At 10 seconds, I was wondering when Lillard would make his move. At 5 seconds, I was screaming at him to make a move toward the basket! When the shot left his hands with two seconds left, I thought, “what a terrible, stupid shot.” Then it went in. I rewound the DVR to watch the last two minutes at least five times.

The best part of it was it’s the shot he wanted the whole time. Over the best wing defender in basketball, from almost 40 feet away.

One of those truly seminal moments* that justifies all the dumb shit involved in following sports.

That was some horseshit NBA JAM eat-your-money cheating-AI shenanigans of a shot... And it was fucking AWESOME

Chris, that was awesome. Fuck.

I came for some horrible responses to this well-said comment and I got ‘em! Best was probably the one that complained about white males being told to shut the fuck up while making a solid case to be told to shut the fuck up.

There is nothing in the goddamned world like the absolute fragility of folks who occupy majority (race/ethnicity/sex/sexual orientation/religious affiliation) status feeling like they might have to share the pie they’ve previously had 99% of.

Think about this for just a moment: Every time someone screams about “SJWs,”

Welp.

Was just speaking to my friends about this supposed outrage, and man, how far have we fallen to take offense in having a black character going back in time to prevent slavery. It's not only outrageous, it's sad . . .

It feels like another pile of fake outrage that feeds upon itself for energy. An instance where completely missing the point begets anger.

It might be anecdotal, but in my immediate circle, this is true almost across the board. Most of my friends are in their early to mid thirties and most of them aren’t buying a house/having a baby because their student loan debt repayment is still so high that it takes up a significant chunk of their incomes.

A massive wipe of student debt in the U.S. would trigger a huge spending boom in housing and autos, and probably bump up birth rates as young Americans who were looking down the barrel of decades of debt would decide they could have the 2.5 kids their parents had. And all the critics are going to worry about is that
