It really depends on how much work you want to put into them. I used to paint models a lot, and would do base coats a wash and maybe some minor highlights and your eyes would take care of the rest. I have been complimented on them so many time s and people that don’t paint say the same thing you did here.

tbh this kind of stuff happens in every multiplayer game though; it’s just stories aout it don’t come up as often. In general most competetive multiplayer games are toxic in one way or another.

Those must have been some conservative servers you were getting put on. I don’t think there has ever been a time (since parents allowed Thier children access to headsets) that I haven’t heard or seen this type of behavior. If it wasn’t over voice it was in text. It’s just always been part of gaming culture.
