Yoshi’s Island is still my favorite 2d platformer. The sheer variety was enormous. It seemed like every stage introduced something new.

I thought the new Kirby reminded me more of Yoshi’s Island than the new Yoshi game. Either way, these type of games are why I bought a Switch.

Consoles, with only one OS and hardware configuration, are infinitely easier to optimize then the PC “Wild West.” It’s not out of the realm of possibility to see 4k 60 fps.

But you’re right. I agree that only a few games at first will achieve this. (More than likely by first party games. Like say..... Forza 7)
