Silver, and very few others, had the ability to step outside the echo chamber that has become a lot of media outlets. For this they were derided even though their predictions were relatively accurate.

It was definitely a Blood Dragon game. Just without the Far Cry and Michael Biehn voice over. The first 4 or 5 levels were so good...... and then you get off your bike.

Yes, the whole feel of the game is great. Atmosphere, silly plot, music are all great. If they would’ve stuck to just the bikes and left out the running/gunning/grappling hook it wouldv’e been much better!

Yea, I always forget about my backlog when I want another game. It started with never getting around to Metal Gear Solid 3 and hasn’t recovered since.

The Collection is around $15 now. I don’t know what you consider cheap but that is a relatively low number.

4 was really good if you liked the way they went with it. The gameplay was more fluid, but I did not like the updated controls optimized for controllers. I enjoyed the big clunky controls that made you feel like you were in a mech.

I made that comment as more of a troll I guess. I think I actually liked 3 better for most things. Except having to blow legs off enemies so you could salvage them. That was a pain in the butt! Mechwarrior 2 has some of the best music in all of gaming though. 4 was such a letdown though :(

The advertising all said this was going to be a “standalone” expansion. Doesn’t that mean you can buy/play it without the parent game?

Edit: I see that it says standalone purchase now. SO, yea, not the same......
