There’s private servers that are locked to certain Xpacs. There’s even one that is patched every 2 months like you’re experiencing all the patches all over again. (Albeit much faster intervals.)

It sounds like you haven’t given it a chance yourself. My advice to you then would be to purchase Syndicate when it’s $20 or so. Maybe then you’ll get over your preconceived notions that’s it’s awful.

Combat and stealth have never been good in any AC so that’s not the best argument.
