I have to admit that I have a soft spot in my heart (or is it head?) for the Saab 99.

Dollar for dollar, the best car I ever owned was a 1975 Saab 99. But then it only cost me $125 in 1986 plus another $175 for two parts cars, one of which my dad drove for several years. I drove the '75 99 for almost 10 years and put about 20,000 miles on it one year.

Hey, there's a JDM Skyline running around Houston.

What I remember most about the '76, '77 Volares was the front fenders rusting off in a line behind the front wheels. I think Chrysler replaced almost all of them in the rust belt states.
