@Hooray4Zoidberg: The problem isn't that -this- ruling affects games. It's that it sets legal precedent. If the courts decide that game publishers can say no to used sales under penalty of legal action, then it opens a gate for other industries to make similar arguments and attempt to curtail used markets for their

@MichaelPalin: Depends on what kind of twins they were, among other factors. Spartans judged children from birth as to whether or not they were fit for life. They were first dunked in wine, and if they survived, they were taken before a council of elders who decided if the child was fit to live. If not, the child

@Alex_Mexico: I think you're just worrying too much about canonical Greek mythology in a world where Zeus has a son named Kratos who slaughters everything that mythology ever dreamed up.

@interkin3tic: Double thumbs up here. There is an inherent misunderstanding when the term 'game' is used in the context of serious interactive experiences, that being that a 'game' is fun to play and is about points or winning. I suppose it's a semantic issue at the core, but if we are going to maintain such

@Frosted Mini-Wheats: Did flash maybe desynch the sound and the video a bit for you? I just watched it 8 times or so to catch all the dances individually, and it lined up right every time, right down to the Heavy spanking the Medic to the time signature.

@wild homes loves you but chooses darkness!: It's sad when gambles don't pay off, but that's the name of the game. If EA is going to continue attempting to allow smaller groups to get there games into the market, then it is going to have to do so with the understanding that performance is key. When you talk about

Two things about this bug me.

@Foxstar is in love with Kotaku's two Brians.: You want to try and give an actual counter argument? I'm trying to have a discussion, and you insist on focusing on one point which, even without numbers (though I would still argue that the sales figures alone for the system without BC point to the fact that it is not

@Leanid: Problem is, being in the majority or the minority does matter when it comes to profits. You don't make money by selling tons of features to small minority at a premium unless that demographic is -very- willing to buy at your price point, and the PS3 wasn't able to adequately produce that effect. The issue

You know, I have one of software emulated PS3s that can play roughly 80% of the games, and I think I've played a grand total of... three PS2 games on it since I got the thing.

@welshyroxs: It's really an issue of the format of learning. I've played a couple of instruments for over 15 years, so it's not like I'm personally going to be using the game as a learning tool, but in that time I've encountered a number of pitfalls with using standard teaching methods.

@illiniphase4: Err, the last two pictures and the text below them talk about learning to play chords. Hell, the tutorial text in the last picture tells you how to hold your hand for more leverage when playing, and the picture right about that gives you a hint about hand positioning when switching between two

@welshyroxs: The Fender Squier you can buy with the touch-sensitive neck is an actual guitar. Technically, you would be learning. Even the guitar up there would be a start, and seeing as it's a MIDI guitar as well, you could run it through your computer and play, at the very least, synthesized guitar.

I posted this in response to someone further down the thread, but I feel the need to do it again given a lot of the comments I'm seeing.

@Maldron: Because I paid 15 dollars for what amounts to roughly 15 to 20 hours of play time that I enjoyed very much, and now I will pay another 15 dollars for an even bigger game, amounting to somewhere around 40 to 50 hours of total play time for 30 dollars.

@Big-Tool: You're going to be waiting a long time for that one. The Zep are notoriously weird about where they'll release their music, and the reason they give every time for denying music games is that they're not comfortable with releasing their master tracks to the developers.

@ColinStein: I think this version is Buster Poindexter (also known as David Johansen). It's called House of the Rising Sun.

@RedThree: What Cpryd said hits the nail right on the head. I've got a library of over 200 games, have beaten the majority of them (some of them several times) across multiple genres and systems. I own all versions of Smash Brothers. I had never heard about this glitch until now, and by extension my friends who

@Benny: That's an over-exaggeration. Nothing is killing Warcraft. About one out of every 8 or so randoms I run in WoW has anyone asking about achievements, and at the gear level I have, it's not all that hard to chase after a few of them for fun.
