Or Fred’s parents have had their licenses taken away because their eyesight has gone to shit, so he has to go take them grocery shopping every weekend.

I like this review actually. No BS and you are not afraid of speaking your mind. I was in the market recently to change my GTI. Went to test drive a few “luxury” SUV vs “luxury” station wagon (mind you we have a bit more choice in Canada). I was hoping that these SUV would be ok to drive but for real, they are not. Not…
Glass isn’t allowed or desirable in some places, like around pools.
One of the worst set of headlights I’ve ever (not) seen. They are a nice highway driver, but only if it has a working air suspension.
If you guys want a methodical, boring review of a boring car, go read Consumer Reports or something.
She kind of is. Also, she has three legs. This post has some good pics of her: https://jalopnik.com/can-you-use-a-canned-ham-as-a-bumper-guard-1667080394
I said it’s good at what it’s for, many times in there! I’m not going to fake excitement. This is an absolutely fine choice for many, many people, and I genuinely hope they love it.
How about a used base Taycan Elon?
Comments are salty today, I actually enjoy this type of no BS review and it’s why I come here. What other automotive publication is going to use a heading like:
The drawback of the Crown Royal is he lives in California, so will have to spend around $10k getting it CARB approved. A USDM LS like you suggest is much better.
And totally illegal in the US, 5x so since he’s in California.
Having driven a Taco, I can say it was one of the most bleh driving experiences I’ve ever had, and I’ve owned a ‘90s Corolla.
This is why I DD a Ford Transit van.
Thanks for including the handy size reference in the cargo area pictures. Going by the other reviews I’ve read, I have no way of knowing how many skulls of my enemies I can haul in the new Santa Cruz for example.
Honestly I feel like that Toyota Crown Royal is the only answer that’s on the right track. Literally the only way you’ll avoid $10k in depreciation over time is with a car that’s already near the bottom of its depreciation curve. Pay $10k for a late-90's Lexus LS 400 and it’s likely to be worth more than $0 at the end…
LOL
Only problem is it’s not yet for sale in the US.
Fred, let me tell you a bit about life: dont bother seeing your parents so much, that sounds like a real pain in the ass.
Taco is also very uncomfortable for any distance over thirty miles (unless you’re under 5'10" and under 30, but even then it’s still iffy).
