I don’t get it.

You make a good point in that this is the very first generation, and already it’s very good. The next few iterations will improve substantially again.

I can’t disagree. Thunderstruck is the best car-ad song of all time.

I guess we’ve reached the point where electric vehicles can be just as distasteful as their oil-burning cousins.

This reminds me that RVs are just *really small* demountables on the back of a truck.

I mean, it would be funny to watch a crash dummy bounce off the airbag. Not quite so funny to see the same with a human.

Sounds like a good Friday night.

they lost all power from engine #2. This would have downed just about every other twin jet.”

I have the previous one, and it’s a really good car. It’s a good alternative to a Model Y, especially with the new increased EV range and power.

I think Facebook is down. That’s the only explanation I can come up with.

This used AMG is definitely crac... no dice.

It looks like a mid-2000s Nissan with a screen on the top. Not great, not terrible.

Does everyone in your general vicinity try to take their bags and evacuate?

It looks like it’s getting more dangerous out there.

Honestly, we should actually require people to undertake a short pass/fail passenger test that involves a few things (brace position, safe evacuation etc.).  But we know how well that would go with a public who regards safety as an afterthought and every activity as a right.

No, they’re being selfish assholes. They are being told what they need to do, and they are intentionally ignoring this.

Wouldn’t the upside be that he’d go through some catastrophic crash that killed everyone else and just walk out with a couple of bruises? (Not that this doesn’t happen anyway...)

I could see him in Volvos actually. The Porsche Taycan would work for him, as would the Audi GT - especially if he was overseas. Bentley or Rolls would take him too far from the ‘common man’, even though they’re the same price as the other cars he drives.

If you see a brand in a film (any brand) someone has paid for it, and you are being marketed to. It’s amazing how obvious it is once you realise that fact.

I agree with most of this, but how do you hide F1 spending in your road car company? F1 is so horrendously specific these days that absolutely nothing carries between the two arenas.
