Wait. I’m confused.

There really doesn’t seem like enough evidence to convict.

For the Tina Fontaine case they were unable to determine cause of death, there was no DNA evidence to link Cormier or anyone else to her death. The case against him was entirely circumstantial and while it is likely Cormier is guilty, the jury must convict beyond a reasonable doubt. Likely isn’t good enough.

Your article glosses over the fact that the evidence was too circumstantial to secure a conviction.

How have so many other countries managed to eliminate mental illness so that they don’t have remotely the mass shooting problem we do?

Every born-rich asshole should be forced to live the life of the working poor for a month.

Fuck this. All these assholes coming out against Grace is hurting MeToo more than anything else. Misogynists are jumping for joy that apparently coercive behavior and pressuring women is not seen as a bad thing. Everyone keeps slut-shaming Grace, or straight-up ignoring the facts of the situation. She came out BECAUSE

Bullshit.

Ok, here goes. Writing this out makes me want to barf.

Around five years ago, I was a TA for an undergraduate literature course that had 300 students; there were two TAs and our job was mostly to do grading (sigh) and hand out exams and set up PowerPoints and stuff of that nature. Basically, assist the professor in all manner of tedium while she lectured. Due to a

Who’s a good god? Is it you? Yes it is, you good little god!

Love this feature when I discovered it last year! I wrote something up in preparation for this Halloween:

YES. THIS IS MY FAVORITE POST OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a goddamn delight and I like to pretend it was the only new episode.

I’m just sad this guy probably won’t make another appearance. That was a good episode.

Same, almost exactly. They’ve been taffying time so much I figured I missed a reference or they were fudging it again, but when I saw the chains it was so ridiculous I just started laughing. Had to pause the show.

You know what’s funny, the travel time thing didn’t jump out at me immediately (because we’ve seen it so much this season, probably) but I was immediately like “How the hell did they get enough chain to pull a dragon out of the lake?”

The thing is, though, that they’ve made her such a huge hypocrite. For whatever reason, the showrunners are always asking us to forget what Arya has done in the past in order for the shit she does to make sense. Arya literally worked as Tywin Lannister’s cupbearer for a season...she could have, in theory, saved her
