I don’t completely disagree with you BUT Calling him right now might not be the best thing. It is still fresh and he might need time with his daughter and by himself to cope, or at least try. So maybe it is like, putting a message out there and when he is ready, it will be waiting for him with out intruding on

Maybe so, but it’s not like all zoos are equally ethical or focused on animal welfare. Some are great, some are not.

Really? He kind of seems like perfect rebound material to me.

You are confusing the commenters and the writers here. Jezebel is not at all pro-Hillary. They are following the Sanders/Gawker worship all the way out the door. It is the COMMENTERS who are often pro-Hillary.

No, it wasn’t. It referred to this as something the ‘vulture-press’ will make a big deal out of and we can all relax and breath because the ‘political scandal machine’ is working and it accepts both of their apologies at face value with no comment about how Song’s apology is nothing but ‘sorry not sorry whores’ and

Honestly, I really disagree that Jezebel is pro-Hillary. Were they a year ago? Maybe. Definitely in the 2012-2014 era before she started running. But I don’t see a lot of pro-Hillary posts these days, and I absolutely read this post as pro-Bernie. It seems to be blaming this gaffe on the “vulture media” and meanwhile,

This comment is just ... ugh. It’s like there is a vacuum of self-awareness around Bernie and many of his supporters. And every time I hear someone say that women are only voting for Hillary because she’s a woman it makes me crazy. I am supporting Hillary Clinton because of her demonstrated leadership on women’s

What kind of normal human being even whips out the word “whores” to use, unless they have some bizarre sexist way that they view a very real problem in government? It’s not a common word. It shouldn’t leap to mind for anyone, except those who conflate sexuality with corruption on a very core level. It’s not even

This isn’t nothing and it’s frustrating to have such a dismissive response about it from a blog that’s ostensibly feminist.

Jezebel decided not to take on Jeff Weaver’s ambitions comment or Sanders’ unqualified comment, but they’re on it when it comes to Clinton’s choice not to eat cheesecake. Pretty good summary of Gawker’s coverage of Clinton. It’s sad that Jezebel is letting some interesting conversations - that many women are talking

Goodness, Gracious! I guess I have to be the one in this thread to remark on how nice it is that Nicholas Cage bailed out a woman who was being attacked by a man with a long history of domestic violence and public violence! I don’t really care how dramatic he felt he had to be about it.

I started out supporting Hillary Clinton and admiring Bernie Sanders. I gradually realized that Bernie is largely a magical thinker whose agenda would go nowhere if he were elected. But now he’s gone too far, and I just want him to STFU already.

The whole Iraq criticism really bothers me because it’s really easy for us to criticize in 2016 forgetting how thing were in 2003 reeling from 9/11 in 2001. Lets blame who was really at fault for Iraq, the Bush Administration.

I also want to add historical context. By the 90's there was an increase in gang violence and drug usage and a lot of Black leaders at the time wanted these measures to get people off the streets. There were people at the time who saw that this would be the result but they were a vocal minority.

There is a reason Hillary Clinton has the best record for truth telling in this campaign. Bernie Sanders just says whatever the fuck he wants and gets ANGRY if anyone asks for backup or specifics.

Ok, so I had a bunch of white people telling me how minorities should vote for Bernie because he’s obviously so good for us and why can’t we just realise that??!!

I like this one

Also a reminder that Sudden Liberal Purist Susan Sarandon supported the very moderate former-Iraq-War-booster John Edwards in the ‘08 primaries.

This entire primary season is changing my opinion on so many people.

You know how after the financial crisis there were stress tests for banks to make sure that they were healthy and could handle large economic swings? The Trump campaign is like a stress test for American democracy— and we’re failing. And the problem is, is that the other institutions that would have to step up and
