The “giving vehicles female pronouns” thing also seems weird and outdated.

It really is! I just wish that after having read enough monoliths to become almost completely proficient in the three alien languages, I could have understood more of what the Atlas said. All I understood was the word “beyond”, scattered in several places.

I just had a go at it this evening. It’s pretty fun, but in a “this would be better if there was a single-player story mode” kind of way.

I just thought “well, I’d better give it a go, that one last hurrah”

Oh bugger. I got that in PS+ and haven’t even tried it yet.

If you read the monoliths, it does actually give you backstory to the three major alien species, and which killed who.

Thanks for being the only person who’s managed to give me the incentive to get back into this game! B or O systems, gotcha! :)

Yes! What they should do next is create a simulation for procedural generation of life based on principles of genetics, survival and our understanding of evolution, and stick each creature onto different kinds of procedurally generated planet, let lives pass in the blink of an eye... and make sure none of the

I know it has the *potential* for all these quadrillions of different creatures, plants, and terrains, but.... the random generator seems to give me the same six types of creatures each time.

I am surprised the success rate is so high!

You know this technology of “used panties” has been around a long time now? In fact, I believe it predates VR by quite a long way.

Hey, I actually got one today. Tbh this review is like, upside down from my experience. There is no meaningless judder. I’m like.... wow, this is really tracking well, it’s so sensitive I bet it could track my heartbeat. The head tracking seems to work well too.

If you bring a significant number of smoke particles anywhere near your pregnant wife, I don’t forgive you either.

And you lot keep telling us never to preorder things. Feh.

Only a smoker would believe this was a solution where the other members of staff wouldn’t be able to smell the smoke.

Right now I’m thinking - remember the Agatha Christie novel the ABC Murders, where the killer commits several murders in sequential alphabetical order in order to make it look like some kind of ritual game, but it’s actually to conceal one of them which was done extremely purposefully for a reason?

Ah, it is a game to savour. For me, exploring worlds and seeking out monuments was much more my personal goal than aiming for the centre of the universe too.

Ah! It looks like the floor in the Atlas rooms in No Man’s Sky! *_*

You cover your entire floor with ball bearings, and no matter how far you walk, you’ll never get to the edges!

I was thinking the Japanese Mel Blanc. He talked to himself in so many original voices, so effortlessly.
