How do you know the businessman wasn't looking over your shoulder thinking "wow, that's out now? Damn, I forgot to preorder a copy!"

Most Bejeweled players never played Yoshi's Cookie, Tetris Attack, or any Taisen Tokkae-dama games, and think that switching blocks to match three or more in a row was something new and original.

Like "Brothers: A tale of two sons", I suppose.

I love arcades, I can't resist them. But if I saw that on the side of the road, I'd think it was a honey trap, there to lure people in while someone sneaks up behind them, steals their stuff, and runs off.

Do like the lady in the article video and wear gloves while playing on arcade machines. :)

Console innovation in the last 20 years? Well, let's see - the Dreamcast brought us networking built in as default, on-screen + handheld play from a single game (with VMUs), third-person open world games (Shenmue), high definition output (it was only 480p but that was better than TVs at that time).

Ah, Kotaku won't let me edit my reply.

I got mine as the 3G/WiFi bundle with the 10 games pack (includes LBP), a code for a FIFA football game, and an 8GB memory card - it was a special deal I spotted one day on play.com fulfilled by ShopTo (funnily enough the same offer wasn't on ShopTo.net). That was £137.99, I think.

I've been saying for a while - Nintendo should make some sort of "Super 3DS" attachment for Wii U so you can put in a 3DS (or DS) cart and use the gamepad and TV as lower and upper 2DS screens. They'd shift a lot of Wii Us that way.

The Vita's under £140 now. I've got one. You're right, it doesn't get much use. If you go into a shop there are usually only about 3 different Vita games on sale, and the UK PSN shop for Vita is a bit rubbish. It plays some PSP and some PS1 games, but not all. I bought PS1 Theme Hospital the other day thinking it'd be

Don't worry about streetpass for the full game - the demo doesn't make it clear, but once every day, you can connect to the internet using an option under the save menu and it will "invite net friends", which adds 3 - 4 more people to your village.

Now playing

Ambassadors of Funk featuring MC Mario - Supermarioland. It was a hit in the UK charts in 1992, I don't know if the rest of the world knows this song.

I love this song, have done all my life. It's from 1969 - to put that into perspective, that's three years before "Pong" was invented, and yet, these lyrics could be an interview from a pro competitive gamer of today. You know, if the other competitors were ever likely to be deaf, dumb and blind kids.

I remember that! People would put money in, and peer around it in all directions to try and figure out how it worked, more than they were interested in actually playing the game (which I think was an impossible Dragon's Lair type thing, where you had no clue what the game wanted you to do).

It says on your passport "Peppers Priss". Sorry. (presses detention button)

Top tip: Stop reading internet articles and play some games.

I have 680 games on my Steam account. Why do I play more on my 3DS? Why, when there are games like Steamworld Dig out on both 3DS and PC do I buy the PC version when I know I play more on my 3DS? There are so many things about my behaviour as a consumer I don't understand.

They need to release more Vita games in English around the world. Really. Now. Immediately. Because I'm getting one for Christmas and... there's barely anything here. Getting a copy of Disgaea 3 (again). Looking forward to Danganronpa, the Curry RPG (whatever it was called) and Jeff Minter's TxK.

All these people saying "Warioware".... I bought Game And Wario hoping for a Warioware, didn't get one. Watched this video, didn't see one. I want a new Warioware!

If I was having as little fun with games as most of the complainers on the internet claim to, I think I would have stopped gaming 30 years ago!
