@Swordslayer: Oh, nice. Thanks :)

@Swordslayer: On the other side, search-plugins does'nt have the ability to set the homepage. If calling them without a searchargument, they go just to searchpage, which is on some sites really annoying.
@drhowarddrfine: That's stupid rant. With IE8, Microsoft has again bring some good piece of Software to the web.
Yeah, another of so neverending new coding-toys called 'editor'. Don't you now that emacs is all you need? ;)
@mocump: OSX is a unix too. There is cron, python and bash out-of-the-box onboard and running. Only wget is missing, for the setup-script.
@Brendan Le Foll: There is no need for a hacker, a insecure environment is more than enough. Think of a workmate, which get access to you system when your away.
Nice idea, but absolutely stupid. To insecure. At least it could provide a set of relative save commands and use a save key (which is after using deleted) to gain a separate access-level.
Strange list. None of this apps are underhyped in my attention. Also, VLC is crap. To much bugs, to much security-problems and a unholy interface. So it's good that it's not really hyped.
I *hate* mozillas experimental-section. It's the buggiest and stupiest download-system i have ever seen! No installation possible because of checksum-error, and also no way to download the extension directly. What a trash.
For an unimportant isolated person which lives only online or in an forest, it's probably possible to get rid of all those gadgets. But every other needs most of them, especially in a business and/or with a normal salary.
Really cool extension. But also with some edges. For example, how can i open a search in a new tab (in background). Or why doe'snt it show just those context-menu-entrys, which actually whould show when i open the context-menu with the dragged object?
Greader sucks. It's interface and workflow is'nt efficient enough, other than bloglines, which is genius in most aspect. But well, unfortunaly bloglines sucks at other points :(
On a widescreen, i prefer the right side.
Finally a really competition for strokeit under linux! :)
Where is the problem with using strokeit? I'm doing it for years now and have no problems with this.
Tracking progress is waste of time. A simple loud noisy sound, played when finished the work is more than enough, and a good startingpoint for a talk with your sweetly suprised colleague ;)
Linux-User haven't only one choice. KDE4 brings krunner, which is in fact none other than another quicksilver-clon, built wihtin kde itself. It's the replacement for the former execute-dialog (which is also a simple launcher ^_-).
What a shame, that osx can't do, what every stupid modern windowmanager has builtin out of the box :( The NetWM2-standard allows a fully customation of every aspect of a window, not onyl size or position. If any will try it, search for devilspie or access the windowspecific settings in kde's controlcenter.
I use a self-made python-script for moving files depending on some criteria like filetype or sourcefolder. Also, it rename the files with simple rules (kill everything between [], change _ to spaces, etc.). But greatest function is, that it checks whether at the targetfolder exists another folder which matches the…
I like to see an integration of google directory and other mailinglist-archives. I think it would be really cool if you could simply subscribe to a ml from gmail and gain access to the whole group/list-archive instantly with your prefered gmail-interface.
