I see why Stephanie might assume Penny's choice is based on something other than merit - with one or two exceptions (mostly Amelia saying Penny is a "natural"), we haven't seen Penny be anything other than decent in the OR. Which is not bad, but not terribly impressive compared to what we've been told about Stephanie.

And the "days since a TV show offed a lesbian character" count went back to 0.

Krause's face seems oddly immobile and his scenes with the Princess make him look so smarmy and gross. I totally agree about the miscasting. He just doesn't seem to project the charisma he should have in that role, and the flashbacks only drive that home.

That Catherine wanted to pump April for information was obvious to me when she started getting April to confirm dates for her. It was really emphatic.

1) This was a really bad episode for Jackson. He was over the line: the anger is understandable (and yup, it's totally true that April was just trying to wait it out until abortion was no longer an option because she didn't want to have that discussion, but also yes, he doesn't get a say in whether she has one) but

The Tidal sketch was slightly disappointing, if only because Bruno Mars's impressions were so specific and well-paced. If they'd made Ariana do a skipping the song bit, where she has to sing one line of each song, it would have been better. But there was an actual punchline to it, which is always good to see.

Nothing says RADICAL post-queer like refusing to say "bi"! But seriously, I am not willing to give the show kudos for portrayal of LGBT characters. The way they kept trying (and failing) to get mileage out of putting Kalinda into plotlines about how she loves fucking men who want to kill her wasn't that great, in my

You mean everyone (and their dog) doesn't carry a gun everywhere they go in Pennsylvania?

That was a sucker punch.

The governor was supposed to be the one to shoot the gunman.

The worst crying was the Into You LIke a Train episode, the strangers comforting each other. I wept rivers.

Either that or, like every other Pulitzer-prize-winner she just can't keep it together long enough to do an interview because of how terribly she wants Fitz.

B-614. They're like B-613 but sexier.

So, the journalist is going to do an expose on Fitz and is using her sex appeal to get him, right?

I keep hoping for more. At least we have carpool? (And all Amelia carpooling moments :D!)

Not the only one. She was my least favourite character, possibly with the exception of George O'Whiney.

I pretty much attribute that season 2 moment to flip-floppery of prime time "she must not alienate viewers" principles. I admit I watched this a while ago, but what I remember: she had stated she didn't want kids, she considered abortion and then she magically miscarried and then she felt grief. That said, I'd say a

Grey sisters and their relationship - Meredith, Amelia and Maggie - together is the best part of the show, hands down.

(Please keep the coverage…)

Frank is Ben. Ben is Frank. They're one and the same.
