This is a little unfair/inaccurate. There was plenty of relatively emotionally open/introspective nu-metal speaking to kids, including queer kids, who felt marginalized for not being hypermasculine or popular or whatever. And there was plenty of rap-rock or rap-metal being made by and for people who genuinely felt

Ooh, please do a thing about Kara!  Or 4 Minute!  Or After School?

Last year several cast members said outright the crossovers were a logistical nightmare, super disruptive to the production schedules of the individual series and exhausting and CW would have to change how they did them.  They weren’t being whiny, they were just starting the fact that crossing over 4 shows on a TV

Well, to be fair, Overwatch is set in the future in an alternate universe where there’s talking apes and a moon colony.

Why? There’s no reason to believe, whatsoever, that the people are being dissolved in any mechanical or chemical sense of the word. Earlier in the film Thanos cut Drax up into blocks and turned Mantis into a bunch of ribbons. “Erasure from existence via (essentially) magic” doesn’t have to pay attention to gravity or

How is this a stupid decision?  It clearly makes financial sense and will have essentially no negative effect except with a tiny niche audience.

Yeah, Parks is a really good example of a show that didn’t really become itself until season 2.

It’s a pilot. Pilot episodes are notorious for being bad. Giving up on a show based just on the pilot makes no sense. Heck, there are beloved classic shows that had mediocre-to-bad entire first seasons.

You’re comparing a handful of minor individuals with effectively zero power to Conservative/Republican senators, police chiefs, nationally broadcast journalists, high ranking members of the administration, and of course the President himself.

Wynonna Earp is a series with a high death count but there’s no way in hell they’ll kill any of the main gay characters, the fandom would go thermonuclear. It’s actually debateable if the show survives without the Wayhaught fans, and I say that as someone who thinks fans overestimate the impact of their influence.

Because of the kick. If he just steals a soda it’s theft and on this scale probably a misdemeanor, but add an element of violence, and it becomes robbery, and a felony.

Did you read my post before commenting?  This is in the context of people who are jerks about anything besides rare.

You analogies are terrible.

A chef is not a bridge engineer. If you disagree with them (aside from issues of basic food safety), no one will die. Now, if you order a well done steak then complain that the steak is bad because of properties it gained due to being well done in the first place, then you’re a jerk.

What I’m saying is, the original commentor made the ludicrous claim that “no one seems to point this out”, when if fact everyone points this out constantly. It’s an incredibly common, predictable complaint about Apple products and everyone who makes it seems convinced they have this insight that all others lack.

Enh.  Firewire was a godsend for the environments I worked in, because yes, it was so much faster than USB 1.0 Also, from a support point of view, I deal with vastly more Android problems than IOS problems, despite having a slightly bigger IOS userbase here.

If you’re shooting something with a narrow vertical orientation to begin with.

“but no one seems to point that out”

The saucer section of the D is massive and bulbous relative to the rest of the ship or the 1701-A, making the D look heavy and fat. And the mounting point of the nacelles, “pointing forward” with no winglike trailing section, coupled with the non-circular “wide” proportion of the saucer, absolutely makes the Galaxy
