It’s one of the best romances I’ve ever seen on TV, and it takes me _a lot_ to get invested in a het romance. Also, just a solid funny sitcom.

The Good Wife managed to survive a terrible title.

I gave it 4 or 5 episodes. I found it to be a mix of depressing poverty porn and gross unearned shock nonsense. It felt like Shameless at its worst. I think Frankie Shaw is talented and deserves a good vehicle, but I really disliked this show.

Fallout/Overwatch crossover game?

“What Starbucks should have simply done was say, “Here’s our new policy: let folks use the bathroom and sit without buying anything. The end.”

Also filter for “It’s your boy/girl so and so”

Fuck you. Everything we do vs. Obama forever is exactly what Trump and his cronies want.

Enh, this is a pretty likeable Celtics team. A lot of hard working, young players, smart players, smartly coached.

Now playing

If we’re talking Fu-Schnickens we have to mention “Breakdown”.

Jaxson is the name of an evil business executive in a comic book.

There weren’t detailed rules because the detailed rules were in Chainmail, which they assumed you had.

This is a completely ahistorical take on the development of D&D and the early game. Early D&D was literally and explicitly built on top of the mechanics of a miniatures wargame called Chainmail.

That’s really untrue for 4e. There was way too much explicit range and positioning stuff in the combat rules to not use miniatures unless you just insisted on handwaving everything.

4e combat pretty much required miniatures and a grid map.

I found this show frustrating because on paper it has things I like, but in practice I found Midge just so exhausting and extra, like that nightmare person who corners you at a party and pummels you to death with their personality. And while I liked shows like Gilmore Girls and West Wing and Deadwood , for whatever

I loved loved loved Motor City, but I tried to show it to friends and they had an extremely difficult time just visually processing the action, which, fair. It really pushed into almost blipvert territory on occasion.

It’s very hard to make that argument when you have PUBG and Fortnite in the paragraph.

Parks and Rec got 7 seasons. That’s a good long run for any show, especially a non-procedural show.

My landlords do 1 a year, a month or so before we re-up the lease. It’s pretty pro-forma, just to make sure we haven’t destroyed the place. The rest of the year they leave us alone unless there’s a specific maintenance issue to deal with. I should note, they always tell us a good 10 days ahead of time the date they’re

I nominate Nick Tarabay.
