It’s overly pedantic because unlike correcting a typo, it uses authority to bludgeon a fellow fan without actually adding real accuracy or clarity to the discussion. The show is called Doctor Who. The character has been, at various times, officially credited as Dr./Doctor Who. The show has made repeated “Doctor Who”

Wait, you felt Capaldi went on and on but liked Tennant’s goodbye? Christ, it went on forever.

Uh, you’re engaging is gross post-facto editing of history. Lots of people pre-hated TNG as the first new Trek with a weird new ship and a weird new crew and a wussy captain etc etc. Lots of people pre-hated DS9 as not being “real” Trek, not being set on a ship called Enterprise, not being about exploration on a ship,

The show makes it clear that Lorca is suffering from PTSD and is not the man he was before the war started. Also, Trek has shown us plenty of ethically flawed or emotionally compromised captains, they’ve simply never been the show’s actual captain. Imagine a show set around the time of Doomsday Machine with Dekker as

What I don’t understand is why the i09 staff are so upset about this moment. Mudd was a collaborator. That’s the sort of thing that gets people summarily shot in the head in wartime. Leaving someone who was working with the enemy with the enemy wasn’t cruel or ethically whatever. If anything, Lorca’s mistake was just

Perhaps it’s because the Gawker media writers have a decent grip on the subgenre and know there’s a bunch of literary urban fantasy in this mold that predates Shadowrun and hews more closely than Shadowrun does.

I didn’t even think about that. Has DC decided to “graduate” Cyborg out of Titans now? :(

Jackman was 32 when he started doing the role. There’s no way Marvel will want to start possibly 10 years worth of movies with Wolverine starting at 48. Downey was 43 when he did Iron Man, and he’s another “I’m getting too old for this shit” case. *shrug*

To each their own, but in my circle the wedding stuff was tremendously popular. When you’ve been with these characters for so long, letting them sit around and just be friends and interact in unusual combinations (Alex Danvers and Sara Lance, Mick Rory and..well, Mick Rory is funny interacting with anyone, etc) can be

Plus there’s about to be a live action Teen Titans series. Is Slade not going to be usable in that as well? Because that’s insane.

See also Breakout Kings.

Over time I think they’ve learned how to do that stuff better. This year’s crossover was 1. Fantastic and 2. Vastly better than last year’s.

I’m very fond of Manu Bennet, but he’s 48, just one year younger than “I’m too old for this shit” Hugh Jackman. If/when Marvel casts their MCU Xmen they’re going to be younger than that.

Death Valley. Very fun series, featuring an adorable early/pre-Arrowverse Caity Lotz.

We currently live in a world where racial minorities and gay folks have been part of the fabric of society for thousands of years and yet “$RACE Lives Matter” are still things and we’re still having lots of “First X (elected to office or holding down such and such a position, etc) in 2017.”

There’s a lot of genre urban fantasy stuff featuring elves and orcs and whatnot set in the modern day that’s closer to this film than Shadowrun, which has more of a cyberpunk setting. I’m reminded of all the people who saw the trailer for Pacific Rim and then swore it was an Evangelion ripoff/homage.

If broccoli tastes bland to you, you are probably not a supertaster. How do you feel about sweet? Bitter and sweet are the two big typical supertaster sensitive things.

Beautiful.
