She’s not responsible for the content of the ad, but she’s certainly responsible for choosing to appear in the ad. Pepsi didn’t put a gun to her head, Pepsi didn’t use CG to put her into a commercial unknowingly, and she’s not struggling to get by and forced to take whatever gigs she can land.

I wouldn’t call it an outsized response. She’s a gigantically privileged person who freely chose to try to burnish her “brand” (and accepted money) in order to make an incredibly tone deaf and shallow commercial that itself trivializes and takes advantage of people who are out there getting hurt and in some cases

Enh. Look, I’m against the NRA and support sensible gun control measures, but if you work around (x), inevitably someone will have a workplace accident related to (x), and that doesn’t really say all the much about the person or the (x) unless gross negligence can be proven. People who work in kitchens will get cuts

You know that has nothing at all to do with the media response, which is what this article was about, right?

Jezzies don’t really assert this. They assert (correctly) that:

He wasn’t like that in this commentary at all. I mean, if you don’t like him dropping F-bombs, fine, but he clearly has a genuine interest and was positive, informative, and self deprecating throughout.

If I created some characters, backgrounds, connections, etc, and marvel said ‘Well, we’re not going to use your stuff.” And then they made a movie with a bunch of elements of my stuff in it but with the names changed, yeah, I’d comment on that.

She was one of that show’s few few highlights.

Also, I think it’s unfair to knock someone for being weak in a category in Final Jeopardy where you don’t get to pick. I’s an easy question only if you assume everyone gives a shit about basketball. Hell, basketball in Canada even.

Don’t misunderstand me, I’ve played Eve a few times in the past (ultimately not the game for me, despite my love of sci-fi and spaceships), and I’ve sunk...lots...of lifespan into gaming in general, lately Mechwarrior Online, League of Legends, Elder Scrolls Legends, and Overwatch.

I’m not a Star Wars expert, so the design seemed new to me (unless you’re comparing it to the Lambda class shuttle?)

A calculation of how much time they took to earn that billion ISK would be interesting, if we could decided on some real world hourly rate in dollars.

I though those Upsilon class shuttles were cool, the big black ones.

Well, if its any comfort to you, by your logic, folks on the other side are consumed all their days complaining because someone didn’t behave properly while the national anthem played or complaining because some comic book character’s costume/identity got switched to a minority, or two guys kissed on some TV show.

Criticizing a dumb ad on social media (as opposed to all the other stuff people do on social media every day anyway) does not constitute a significant distraction from whatever those people are doing to push back against Trump. That’s just a deeply stupid argument.

Yeah, this is my favorite racist ad. “Favorite”.

I like Mass Effect. So far I’m not liking this game much. And I’m not someone who hammers on about the flaws Mass Effect 1-3 had, for example ME3's ending(s). I also have been lucky enough not to experience the apparently significant bugs other people have experienced.

Based on how The Good Fight is going, yes, I’m kind of excited.

Aren’t they though? I remember then Rock Band and Guitar Hero were a “thing”. People would organize parties around them, they’d talk about buying fancy third party instruments for them, there’d be big news about the newly added songs....all that is gone now, at least in my social circle of gamers.

I’m just saying, own your homophobia/trolling and be done with it. Quit it with the “I don’t care” fig leaf. And you know, fuck you too, etc.
