@MrZook: I got that because I disabled app platform, and it didn't stick when I reenabled it. I went and did it again, and now it's working.

@Link_Shinigami: I took a sociology class once where they tried to say that prejudice and bigotry is only racism if it's practiced by the dominant race. I responded with Kanye's "Bush doesn't care about black people" tirade and the teacher didn't know what to say.

@Brian Alexander: Sounds a lot like WebOS with Java support and a couple of tweaks. Honestly, what they need is a complete and total rewrite. Every other vendor has started from scratch since the iPhone has come out, except RIM.

As long as they've kept the same, crappy APIs for creating apps (essentially J2ME, what I expect from a dumbphone), this will gain no traction outside of those poor corporate users forced into the BlackBerry platform.
