The taxi driver isn’t physically +44,000 miles away, and has the vested interest that crashing the car could also cause his own injury/death?

Wow, you are fucking moron. First you argue this can work. Then you insult me because you lack the mental ability to form defensible concepts. Then you agree with me. Then you just state things that aren’t even true.

A remote driver wouldn’t have to drive the car to its destination.

the idea that you can rely on the people inside a car driving itself in a remote site to leap into action and take over the controls is at best hilariously generous to human nature, and at worst downright dangerous.

I was going to post something about that too. I think your correction is what the author meant to write.

Just make the TI’s look at you using the x-ray helmets. You’ll definitely pass the weight requirement since you’ll look like nothing but skin and bones.

You’re trying to defend what is basically the last smart phone maker that isn’t using the industry standard of mini-usb. A company that has a proven track record of creating their own connection method in the face of wide spread industry standard connections. Good luck with that.

Unfortunately for you they were waiting till you left to break out the cool stuff. Sorry, but thanks for your service.

Don’t forget their long standing history of changing their proprietary charging equipment when they need to pad their quarterly earnings numbers.

Except that voice commands are still exceedingly difficult for computers to process correctly with anything approaching an acceptable first try rate. Add in the complication of multiple passengers and just general road/highway noise and we are a far cry from a functioning voice interface.

Even letting the single point of failure get a pass, which would be a horrible idea, there is no good reason to have a control system without any physical buttons, knobs, switches, whatever. Most current radio/HVAC car systems can be adjusted without the driver ever taking their eyes off the road. A completely

A “correction” in the market can wipe out people’s 401K values, that will take years to recoup. If you’re closet to retirement age, good luck.

Well this is encouraging. Both the wife and I max our Roth IRAs, and contribute the full match to our 401ks. We expect to get nothing from social security, but it looks like with a little luck we should be good for retirement.

For me the small price gap from the M235, a 2 series with M pieces slapped on, to the M2, a car designed by the BMW M Team, is definitely worth it. And you’ve got a solid point about the depreciation for at least this first gen of the M2.

You’d have to walk on something other than the road because if you do walk on the road you are creating road dust re-suspension toxins.

And yet the M2 is faster around the track than the M4.

How can you make an ininsured medical expense “work” for you?

I’ve bought three BMWs and all the things you mentioned were offered upgrades AFTER the car and price had already been negoiated. I’m sure some dealers try that shit, but simply walking out has a wonderful cooling effect on that kind of stupid.

If by not a proper M car, you mean doesn’t have the heavy and unnessecary luxury items then sure the M2 isn’t in line with the M3/4 but if you mean based on performance then you’re wrong.

There is only one package option for the car, so a million dealer add-ons won’t really happen. Now a million dollar dealer add-on, that’s possible.
