Its been 15 years or so since I played NBA Jam, but did they always let you choose players? I thought there were two per team, take them or leave them?
@Yinzers Are People Too: Uh, she doesn't read Gizmodo, does she? You might be on the clock now.
Honestly, I think the more embarrassing/saddest part of the fiasco is how many sites just took the "software glitch" excuse as gospel and then lambasted people who complained in the first place.
@TheNobleRobot: That's true, it's those damn Europeans that mande Terminator Salvation profitable I believe.
Well, how smart can the movie be if it cost $200million to make? Sounds pretty dumb to spend that much money on a "thinking" movie.
Why does nobody give Apple credit for the amazing thing it accomplished. They did the impossible, displacing AT&T as the company most responsible for screwing up an otherwise perfect phone.
Yeah, I know it was just at E3, but I wouldn't put Reggie in any national marketing.
The Walgreens by me sells, HD sunglasses. Now, that isn't actually 3D I know, but when I saw that I figured nothing else would surprise me.
@CaptainCyanide: Hmm, then I don't know.
Really? Apple's going to lose all rights to have a "genius" bar if their CEO is making comments like that to the public (granted, its not a press release, but he knows just about any email he sends to a customer becomes public).
From reading many of the articles' comments, a lot of people were complaining about the 10% restocking fee. I don't know if that would apply in the 30 day window (or if it applies to all stores that sold the iPhone or just some). If there is a restocking fee, then iPhone4 buyers who want to return their phones have…
I'm always confused why the rumor was only Verizon. I imagine if Apple was going to break exclusivity, they'd go all out.
I wouldn't mind if Android Market had better filtering, or searching for quality apps. Google actually has a safety net too, even if they do make a stupid decision regarding an app, and remove it from "Featured" or the Market in general for some reason, its not like you can't still download the app elsewhere, without…
But did he use the iPad to ordain himself online at [www.ulc.org]
@metronome49: Yes, the internet has definitely helped in the overhyping (for example, calling the iPhone 4 the greatest phone ever before anybody actually saw it), but Steve Jobs isn't immune to hyperbole.
"The planet is sexist," Smithberg adds. "At least in comedy we don't have genital mutilation. That we know of." - Perhaps if that is a sample of her work, maybe she's just not that funny.
@metronome49: I was attributing the high expectations to Steve Jobs hyping up the phone so much, no the iPhone's reputation.
"Of course, Apple's own claim was not to be scratch-proof, but scratch-resistant."
I think they both can be pretty neat, but obviously 3-D has a way to go just due to the adoption rate of 3-D TVs. I think motion controls are cool too, but I don't think they can stand alone.
