Sure, we all want more realistic games, but as soon as EA nails down the average NFL telecast, we all complain.

My black friends were about 50/50 on recognizing this as a racist term, probably because the last time somebody used it as a racial slur was 70 years ago.
The end of this article states it all, "there's the plug." This is more of a self-serving statment than anything.
@Surreal_Sunshine: You're right, I thought you meant best version of the game. My fault.
@Surreal_Sunshine: I really haven't read much about MW2 beign much better on one system over the other, just that the community on Xbox is much bigger than the community on PS3. So, Microsofts advantage in the states is actually their weakness there.
There should be a category called "Background Knowledge" or something. Such as, you may buy a game regardless of reviews because its a sequel to a game you like, or you trust the developer to put out a good game, etc.
Maybe I'm showing my age here, but I just bought a game from Toys R Us, and it reminded me of when I was a kid. Back then, to buy a NES game, you pulled a ticket from the display and they rung up the ticket at the register. You would then take said ticket to this other counter behind a cage, where an employee would…
@HowardC: I didn't compare every multi-platform game on the extended lists, but the ones I checked were rated the same on each platform. Even on the overall list included in this article, Modern Warfare fared the same on PS3 and Xbox, but it appears the list didn't alter their numbers to account for ties (ex., 1.…
So the argument is "its not the government, its just a law that the goverment passed years ago and won't change"
@bakura: You said you already had a lot of games, but if your about to get a 360, why not ask for some of the Platinum Hits, or just older games? It won't cost your family that much, and you probably won't feel as guilty it you take awhile to get around to playing them.
Are all 18 boxes going to have the same cover art for the 360?
Was Drake supposed to be that bad? With the exception of leaving Elena behind in the beginning of part 1, and trying to scam the villian (not even attempting to spell that name)in part 2, he doesn't really do anything ambiguous. In fact, he generally tries to do the right thing even when its absurdly risky.
Well, if these ornaments wanted to be accurate, the Dreamcast one would have had the wire coming out the back, making it extremely awkward. It should also come with a crying fanboy who is still complaining that its underrated.
I don't know what it is about this game, but I love it. I'm not much into shooters. And it isn't the story that gets me into it (in fact, every time the girl on the screen pops up, I think, "oh yeah, there's a story", then I forget again as soon as she goes away. #borderlands
@Torusan: That's pretty much my decision making process. If there isn't any overriding factor like exclusive DLC, I buy on 360 if I have more friends getting it on 360, if not (or no meaningful online play), I buy on PS3 since I'm more comfortable with the feel of that controller.
Makes sense to me. 20 may be a bit long, I'd say it would take a generation (not a console generation, but a human generation) for people to get comfortable with such a dramatic change in how they buy/play games.
Eh, I could never bring myself to play Bonk on Nintendo. I had at TG16 (which really wasn't that expenseive, I paid about $120 I think), and the TG16 controllers came with turbo buttons by default. I never checked, but wouldn't Bonk be useless on a system if you had to continuously hit A over and over again? #bonkbri…
Heck, I'm impressed that they managed to sell any PS2s. #ps3
When I play Uncharted, I can't help but think the art designers had a crush on Nathan Fillion, that or they accidentally made a character that resemebled a real person better than other games that tried to do that.
I see "in game advertising" listed a lot, and I agree, except for sports games. It's often overlooked, but real sports whore themselves out to advertisers, so I can't complain if Madden has too much advertising. Heck, it actually makes the game more realistic.
