I owned a 1995 Honda Civic CX Hatchback... white, manual transmission, hand roll windows. I bought it brand new. Drove it about 8 years and sold it, wish I’d kept it. I was getting 40+ MPG in mixed city driving when gas was $0.99/gallon. Those mileage figures you state are pretty reasonable given my recollection,

I had the very sobering thought the other day that both of my boys are (basically) draft age right now. My oldest is 21 and about to finish college and my youngest is almost 17 and has one more year of high school. After watching this first week of Trump stomp around doing stupid things, I realized that this fool

I don’t get this at all. I was taught as a young driver when using cruise keep your normal driving foot (right foot in my case) available and ready. I’ve never, not ever even once, in 25+ years of driving had to “sort out my feet”. Using cruise control doesn’t affect my attention while driving.

Did they just take his word that the pennies added up to the amount he owed, or did they make him stick around until they were counted?

Absolutely. My ‘89 Z-24 would go exactly 126MPH and felt like it was about to shake apart. Not recommended.

That thing looks like it’s going to fall over just sitting there.

I had this exact car in 1990... except mine wasn’t convertible, but it was red. Loved the car then, but wouldn’t want it now, no way.

This is quite true, and being from NC, I can remember having high school kids driving my buses right thru middle school, which is roughly 1987-88 for me... I do believe however, that back then all buses were governed to max 35MPH, so at least that was something. Still, a dumb thing to let inexperienced teenagers

Isn’t it awesome how some people think their opinion is better than other people’s? Played baseball all my life... watching it is boring af.

Yup... proud owner of a ‘16 WRX 6MT

I have a touchscreen infotainment center in my ‘16 WRX and my wife’s ‘13 Kia also has one. They’re downright dangerous imo. Unlike knobs and buttons they require too much attention to operate while driving. I would lump systems that have joysticks in with the touchscreens. Sometimes new tech isn’t a good thing.

I mean honestly HBO should just do this on their own, as it only makes me want to see it MORE.

Two stories about my 1989 Chevy Z-24:

Side view reminds me a whole lot of...

So I guess Jeep needs to stop making everything except the Grand and the Wrangler then?

Absofuckinglutely... my wife’s stupid ass Kia Soul has a “keyless” thingy, except that it’s not... it’s just a wireless “key” that is so hinky that it makes my head hurt. Absolute garbage. My ‘92 Chevy pickup truck never complains when I unlock her and she has TWO METAL KEYS, one for the door and one for the ignition.

I like the BRZ, it’s a sharp little car and drives great... but it’s essentially a two seater for all intents and purposes and it’s high $20 grand price tag seems steep for what it is. I have a ‘16 WRX and don’t understand why they don’t put the turbo in the BRZ? Really, the BRZ should be the faster “sportier” car

Not for that price, but that’d be a hell of a beach truck.

I owned a ‘99 XJ from 2001 to 2005 and loved it. Put a 4" Rusty’s lift on it with some 31" tires and I never found anywhere in coastal NC here that it wouldn’t go. I couldn’t get it stuck at the beach and I actually tried. Got rid of it tho when the electronics started acting up and my kids got tall enough that their
