Reminds me of what happens occasionally on my N1; you can turn off

@Goalie1980: You've never tried it? It should work. All my Canons have always been happy to snap away with no lens - they do this because sometimes people use adapters with old lenses. You will probably need to set exposure manually, though.

@RuckingFetard: Ever use a system with an SSD? My 3+ year old C2D machine with a paltry 4GB of RAM (Ok, and a modern video card) blows the door off of pretty much anything with a platter hard drive when it comes to general system performance, thanks to the SSD I run it on.

@DreamTheEndless: You can "play" Crysis on anything with dedicated video, or even good integrated video. Crysis will function just fine on an old 8400M.

@TownDrunk: That's an old link. It was originally released on GetJar, but it took the site down. Within a couple days, they put it up on the Android market.

@rxe7en: It might be able to do it, but the Zune HD is much lower end hardware than the WP7 phones we're seeing. Yes, it has Tegra - but what people don't realize is that it's an ARM11 based core, not an A8 based core. And it probably doesn't have much RAM either, as it wasn't designed with anything resembling

@meatbag_pussrocket: While I haven't seen the Focus, I have seen a number of the other Super AMOLED screens. I have a Nexus One, and it is quite noticeable to *me*, but I'm picky about displays. It is absolutely noticeable on the Galaxy S phones, but the screen is a significant improvement over the Nexus One. Even

@BigAeroMan: One can take awesome photos in full auto without adjusting a damn thing. The camera usually gets the exposure right.

@jesse8: Fireworks are amongst the easiest things in the world to take great photos of. Put on tripod, use bulb or a 10-30 second exposure. Adjust it a bit at the beginning for ambient light, and you can mindlessly pop away with a remote while enjoying the fireworks too.

@violent peas: Complete with 8+Ghz quad core servers!

@Y2KGTP: A couple reasons:

@robotkiller: Something I've noticed about Apple products since OS8/9 is that they seem to dedicate more resources to making some things respond seemingly faster. Every Apple thing I've touched since then has exhibited a similar characteristic.

@boram: Generally, people in that sort of condition aren't going to be pushing themselves to MHR, though. While it is a concern for some, it isn't for the vast majority.

Calculations like that are simply guidelines. Everyone has different max heart rates. As a twenty-eight year old male, my MHR is ~208 or so. Another might be ~180. The spread is big enough that the guideline should simply be taken as that.

@posts: I've got a Nexus One and my roommate has a Droid.

@Guy W Cole: It's half the sound pressure level. This is different from half as much noise - we perceive a ~10x increase in sound pressure level as a doubling of sound - though it does do ten times the hearing damage.

Oof. No light curtains? I'd totally lose a hand if I were one of the people running some of those machines.

Frankly, that isn't anything special...

@Islandkiwi: I've never had Watties. You can of course use more or less vinegar. I like vinegar on my fries, but like some sweetness too, so I mix them up - just add it, and mix it gradually until you get the level of tanginess you desire.
